Shaugh Prior Recreation Hall Shaugh Prior Recreation Hall lends itself well as a venue for hosting a wide range of events including weddings and parties along with other smaller gatherings (max capacity for 150). Hire rate of £10 p/h + £15 for the use of the kitchen. The views from the hall are especially good and a total of 10 vehicles can be accommodated in the dedicated on-site car park. At present the hall is used regularly by Shaugh Prior Primary School for PE with Dance Classes on Monday evenings organised by Denise Avent. Once a month there is Pudding Club and the Silver Threads Luncheon Club is held on alternate Fridays. Finally every week day morning Rachel runs a breakfast club which runs into a Pre-School session on Wednesdays. Wotter Community Church Wotter Community Church is a an delightful position in the center of Wotter village which long reaching views to Plymouth Sound from the garden area at the back. It has a large lower hall which is partly used by the Post Office regularly and has been recently redecorated and a new kitchen installed. It is used weekly for a local youth club to play table tennis and snooker and local Churches youth clubs use it regularly for barbecues and away days. It is a perfect place for large family gathering, birthday parties etc and would be great to be used for local farmers markets, local craft fairs. The Church above is also available for use and is perfect for services and musical events and at the back is two smaller rooms that could be used for committee meetings.
