What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led document that helps guide the future development, growth, and land use in our parish. It's a powerful way for local people to shape how their area evolves, reflecting what matters most to the community.
Neighbourhood Plans:
- Can help to influence where new homes, shops, and businesses are built
- Can guide what new buildings should look like
- Can help protect local green spaces, heritage features, and community assets
- Must align with broader local and national planning policies
What a Neighbourhood Plan Cannot do:
- It cannot stop all development - but it can shape what kind of development happens and where
- It cannot change existing planning permissions
- It cannot set local tax or funding policies
- It cannot override national planning laws
Why Your Voice Matters:
This plan will only be meaningful it if reflects the priorities, values, and experiences of the people who live and work here. That's why we want to hear from you.
Your insights will:
